I arrived home after a lovely afternoon to find that my new sneakers had arrived.

Now, you may not KNOW that I have a thing for sneakers… but aside from my running sneakers (currently Nike Equalons, which have replaced the much degraded Asics Gel Kayano) , I have four pair of pumas, a pair of truly beautiful c1rcas, and some awesome camo Chuck Taylor high-tops.

Today, I got some awesome new additions:

and:

with a side dish of not-quite-sneakers:

Oh my, am I dude with delighted tootsies.  Now, I better get a-lacing.

Love to all.  Even you, the woman with the IBM laptop and weird-ass smile.

  1. Umm, I so want you to take Sparky shopping! I’d love for his feet to be happy like that!

  2. Did you turn into a girl while you weren’t posting? Don’t most guys have like 2 pairs of shoes and that’s it? :)

  3. Why yes you do have a thing for sneakers.

I really dig the ones on the bottom.

  4. Does the dude in Cheap Trick have shoes like the second pair or did I make that up? Oh wait! That’s his guitar.

I especially like the peace sign Chucks. Very nice. You’re a bold man, my friend.

  5. Wow. Those are some really cool shoes.

The last pair, however, remind me of bedroom slippers.

  6. So do you have room in your closet for all these sneakers? How do you choose what to wear? Do they match you clothes? Is it a mood? And somehow I’m not surprised you have a thing about cool sneakers!

  7. OMG I want those first two pairs of shoes.

However, I just bought like four pair whilst out garage sale-ing today…….

    That was me bragging. :-)

  8. OMG, a man with a personal shoe fetish! You really ARE perfect :D!

  9. DUDE! I just made myself a pair of Chucks at their website. I LOVE SNEAKERS, nothing like a festive set of kicks, in my opinion.

Yeah, I haven’t had my coffee yet.

  10. I love those shoes on the bottom. Who are they made by? I also love shoes. I have about 16 pair now, after cleaning. I’m married to a guy who has 4 and thinks he has too many.

  11. COOL SHOES!! You never cease to amaze me!

  12. Sweet kicks! My brother has that last pair too and he LIVES in them.

  13. Going in a completely different direction:

I’m going to retire my second consecutive pair of Equalons for a new pair of Kayanos…you must have low/no arches, too. I really liked the Equalons, but as a 200-pounder, I wanted to try something as stable with a bit more cushioning.

Incidentally, I rock the NB 990s (Made in USA) around town, but I can’t run in ‘em. They weigh too much. And, I’m sorry, when you run in a size 14, you don’t want to run in a New Balance size 14, if you know what I’m saying. I know that you do.

Anyhoo, nice skate shoes. And other shoes.

  14. My friend makes some custom sneakers which are sold at a shop here in Toronto. Not sure if they mail order or not, but since you seem to be interested in sneakers I thought I’d drop a link!

  15. WTF are those last ones? Looks like a pair of tents crashed landed on a pair of thongs (flip flops)!!!

    :)

  16. I heart you I heart you I heart you. I just know that you keep Maggie and the kids entertained at all times.

  17. I love the new kicks! It was so nice of you to stop by my blog! I always love catching up with you here at championable =)
