Briefly: Maggie down, cuteness up.

Maggie’s been sick for two days. I stayed home from work yesterday to take care of Maggie and drop off/pick up kids… which was kind of a drag because we planned our first field trip at the office, to plan out furnishings for our new Universal Headquarters / Fortress of Good / Central Karma Station.

And, you know, if your gonna have a Fortress of Good, you have to be able to sit down. Right?

Anyway. My daughter is, at this very second, sitting down to a fabulous extravaganza of cutene, having been invited to have lunch at the American Girl restaurant in midtown. This is my favorite restaurant in all of NYC. I am not kidding. And eight girls with American Girl dolls waiting to board the Metro North train to Manhattan = cutest. thing. ever.

For now, there’s dishes to do, laundry to fold, and HDMI cables to replace. Off I go.

Really? The American Girl RESTAURANT?

Wow.

I have a dual fascination/fear of all things American Girl. For some reason, it kind of creeps me out.

Sorry that Maggie has been so sick! Go make that lady some soup!

SUPER DAD TO THE RESCUE!! I didn’t realize American Girl dolls were still around - man I’m out of the loop…you go super Dad and Hubby! Get well soon Maggie - I’ve got the plague too but no time to sit down and get over the damn thing.

What a great daddy you are! And husband too, but in my female mind, that part is implied if you Stayed Home to handle things so Maggie could rest.

O.M.G. If that is not the testament to your status as Super Dad, I don’t know what is. I confess to immediately recyling all AG catalogs that come to the house, since the dolls all remind me of Talking Tina on that Twilight Zone episode. We only have rag dolls and stuffies.
