These kids need playdates.

On the one hand, it's really nice here. On the other, my kids are driving me up a freaking wall.
  • My oldest: contradicting EVERYTHING everyone says.
  • My daughter: picking on my oldest, deciding she hates everything.
  • My youngest: refusing to go anywhere. Constantly running away.
I love my kids tons. But if I had to do it over again, yesterday would have been the last day of our trip. They're going nuts. Still, we're trucking them off to ski school now, so hopefully we'll get 3 hours of pleasantness... and maybe their collective mood will swing to the better.

I feel for you. Family time is tough. We've made a pact in my house to not set unrealistic expectations about family time. We've also accepted that we each need our own alone time. Its funny, because my oldest will come in from school and say "I need my alone time." She's 8. And like your oldest, she knows everything about everything and is very quick to tell everyone else what an idiot they are in comparison. Hang in there.

I feel for ya, man. I love my kids more than anything, but there IS such a thing as TOO much family togetherness...
