Why I love New York City.

This is the reason I love New York City: all I have to do to acquire some serious energy is go outside. The moment I hit the street I get slammed - absolutely slammed - with the rocket-fast vibe of a thousand different people all at once. Every race and religion and level of sanity broadcasts its signal, and all I have to do is walk down the street and simply RECEIVE.

Love to all. Even you, Bostonites.

God bless you, and I agree. I felt that way living in San Francisco (my same-sex spouse and I) after nearly a lifetime spent in Bahhston. My mom's in hog, sports-fan heaven. I'm a California boy, born if not raised.

that sums it up about NYC. you can feed off the human energy just oozing from the sidewalk there.

I grew up in Manhattan & it was great, but after living in Florida for what seems like forever, I can't imagine living in a huge city anymore. I guess I love New York in theory, but not in practice.

I loooove NYC... to visit. I don't think I could live there and raise my kids there.

Now, maybe after they all trail off to college...
